Peter Wells (athlete)
Peter Wells (born May 23, 1929 in London , † January 5, 2018 in Christchurch ) was a British - New Zealand high jumper .
In 1950 he started for England fifth at the British Empire Games in Auckland and in 1952 at the Olympic Games in Helsinki as a representative of the British team eleventh.
At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver in 1954 , he started for New Zealand and finished fourth. Two years later he came in 16th as the representative of the United Kingdom at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne.
In 1947 he became English champion. He set his personal best of 2,019 m on December 11, 1954 in Papakura .
