Peter Wilhelm (pastor)

Peter Wilhelm (born April 10, 1877 , † October 21, 1947 in Wehrden ) was a German Catholic pastor and member of parliament .

Life

Peter Wilhelm studied theology and was ordained a priest on March 31, 1900 . He was chaplain in Wadgassen until 1905 , then pastor in Berleicht and from 1909 until his death pastor in Völklingen-Wehrden.

Politically, he was involved in the center party of the Saar area . From 1922 to 1935 he was a member of the Saar Regional Council for all four electoral terms . He campaigned for the reintegration of the Saar area into Germany.

In 1935 he became a member of the Führer Council of the German Front . During the evacuation of the Red Zone , he came to Bad Salzschlirf for a short time in 1939 .
