Peter von Carnap (born March 23, 1823 in Elberfeld ; † August 18, 1904 there ) was a German landowner and city ​​councilor in Elberfeld.

Life

He came from the trading and councilor family Staelgen zu Carnap , named after their property Carnap near Barmen (16th century). Peter von Carnap was the son of the merchant and factory owner Johann Bernhard von Carnap (1799-1836), who received the Prussian recognition of the nobility on February 9, 1830 , and Eleonore Frowein (1801-1845).

Carnap married on March 23, 1846 in Elberfeld Hulda Bredt (born June 25, 1827 in Barmen; † January 24, 1900 in Elberfeld).

His great-nephew was the fighter pilot and National Socialist politician Willy Kölker .

Carnap was a landlord on Ober-Steinkirch in Silesia , a city councilor in Elberfeld and a member of the Prussian manor house .
