Peter von Unruh
Peter von Unruh (born March 17, 1960 in Koblenz ) is director of the Hessian state parliament .
Education
Peter von Unruh studied law and political science in Freiburg and Bonn from 1980 to 1986 . After the first state examination , the legal clerkship and the second state examination in 1990, he was appointed judge at the Administrative Court in Koblenz .
Professional background
As part of an exchange between the judiciary and public administration, he was seconded to the Ahrweiler district administration in 1990 as the department head for social affairs, youth, family and sport . In 1991 he went to the Ministry of Economics and Transport of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate (since October 1994 Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture), first as personal advisor to the then Minister Rainer Brüderle and later as head of the ministerial office.
In 1996 von Unruh switched to the representation of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate at the federal level and for Europe in Bonn , where he was employed as a consultant for justice, economy, transport, agriculture and viticulture. In 1999 he went to the state representative in Berlin . There he also became head of the joint office of the states of Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate and, after the Rhineland-Palatinate state representation moved to Berlin, deputy head of the federal affairs department .
Since 2002 Peter von Unruh has been director of the Hessian state parliament in Wiesbaden . In this function he is also a member of the " Hessischer Friedenspreis " board of trustees of the Albert Osswald Foundation , which has been awarding the 25,000 euro prize annually since 1994 to personalities who have made outstanding contributions to peace and international understanding, as well as a member of the advisory board the " Partnership of Parliaments e. V. "(PdP). The PdP connects the members of the German and Austrian state parliaments with their colleagues in the American state legislatures and the provincial parliaments of Canada.
