Petr Hannig (born January 20, 1946 in Krásné Březno near Ústí nad Labem ) is a Czech music producer and politician .

Life

From 1960 to 1964 Hannig studied blacksmithing at the School of Applied Arts in Turnov . In 1965 he began studying organ music, composition and conducting at the Prague Conservatory.

In 1966 the first music productions took place as něžný beat with Jiří Černý, PASTÝŘI, Karel Bláha, Petra Černocká, Jitka Zelenková and Lilka Ročáková. The members of the Czech Philharmonic , Karel Vágner and Josef Vejvoda, as well as Miroslav Kejmar, Jiří Hebda and Oldřich Vlček gave the music a strong symphonic element. Some recordings from the period were re-released in 1996.

In the late 1960s, Hannig worked in London with the photographer Dežo Hoffmann and the composer Tom Springfield . Among other things, he earned his living with blacksmithing, which he produced in a rented forge in Twickenham . The compositions from his time in London were created for the rock band Yes , the BBC and for musical theater.

In September 1969 Hannig returned to Czechoslovakia after an ultimatum . He worked as a composer and producer. In the 1980s he discovered Lucie Bílá , one of the most popular Czech interpreters.

In 2002 he founded the party Strana zdravého rozumu (Party of Reason) and ran for the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament in 2006 . Later his party joined the electoral alliance Suverenita under the leadership of Jana Bobošíková .

Hannig ran for the 2018 presidential election .
