Petr Vlček (born October 18, 1973 in Marienbad / Mariánské Lázně) is a former Czech football player .

Career

Petr Vlček made the leap into professional football in 1993/94 with Viktoria Plzen . In early 1997, the defender moved to Slavia Prague . That year he also played his first of a total of 18 international matches. In 2000 Vlček was part of the Czech national team's EM squad .

After the European Championships, Vlček moved to Standard Liège , where he only made eleven games. In 2001 he went to Panionios Athens , where he stayed for four years. He then played for half a year for Ethnikos Achnas before returning to his former club Viktoria Pilsen in early 2006.

In the summer of 2006, however, coach Michal Bílek sorted him out of the squad for the first team, Vlček moved to the Greek second division club Niki Volos . At the beginning of 2007 he moved to 1. FC Bad Kötzting because he wanted to be close to his pregnant wife, who was not ready to move to Greece. In the summer of 2008 Vlcek moved to the second team of SpVgg Weiden , which he left after only one year for professional reasons.
