Petra Faderl

Petra Faderl (born May 31, 1952 in Erfurt ; † May 2, 2007 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) was a German educator and politician ( PDS ).

Life and work

After attending the polytechnic high school , Faderl completed training as a crèche teacher at the technical school for health and social affairs in Erfurt from 1968 . She worked as a teaching instructor from 1971 to 1974 and then studied crèche pedagogy at the technical school of the Ministry of Health Professor Dr. K. Gelbke in Potsdam , which she completed in 1977 with the examination to become a social pedagogue. In 1978/79 she worked as a daycare manager. She then completed a course of pre-school education at the Humboldt University in Berlin by 1981 and was head of the crèche association in the Potsdam district from 1983 to 1990 .

After the political change in the GDR , Faderl worked as a district social worker in Brandenburg an der Havel from 1990 to 1994. From 2000 to 2002 she worked as a research assistant and again as a social worker in the municipal youth welfare office. In addition to her professional activity, she has been involved in the Presidium of the Brandenburg State Sports Association since 1999 , where she was responsible for the field of girls and women in sport . In addition, she was a member of the Federal Committee on Women in Sport of the German Sports Association from 2002 to 2006 .

On May 2, 2007, she succumbed to cancer in a hospice in Brandenburg.

Faderl was a member of the Linkspartei.PDS and chairman of the party in Brandenburg an der Havel.

MPs

Faderl was a city ​​councilor for the city of Brandenburg an der Havel from 1990 to 1993 and since 1998 . During this time she ran three times for the office of Lord Mayor . She was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament from 1994 to 1999 and from March 5, 2002, when she replaced the outgoing MP Stefan Ludwig , until October 13, 2004. Here she was sports policy spokeswoman for the PDS parliamentary group. From 1994 to 1999 she was a member of the Committee on Education, Youth and Sport and the Committee on Petitions, and from 2002 to 2004 a member of the Legal Committee and the Election Review Committee.
