Petra Fröhlich

Petra Fröhlich (* 1974 in Schwabach as Petra Maueröder ) is a German computer game journalist .

Life

Petra Fröhlich grew up as the older of two siblings. She left high school after the 10th grade and did an apprenticeship; then she made up her technical diploma . She is a state-certified commercial assistant .

Fröhlich is married and lives in Zirndorf , near Nuremberg and Fürth .

Career

Petra Fröhlich was employed by Computec Media in Fürth from 1995 to the end of 2014 . She started working as a freelance writer in 1992 and began working there in 1995 as an editor for PC Games magazine . In 2000 she became editor-in-chief there - until 2001 together with Florian Stangl , then until 2004 together with Christian Müller. From 2004 to 2014 she was the sole editor-in-chief of PC Games , play⁴ , N-Zone , X3 , XBG Games (from May 2012) and PlayBlu (from May 2012 until it was discontinued).

From 2007 to 2013 she was also editor-in-chief of PC Action , published by the same publisher .

After leaving Computec Media, she founded the industry news website GamesWirtschaft in September 2015 .
