Petra Stykow

Petra Stykow (born May 27, 1961 in Ilmenau ) is a German political scientist .

Petra Stykow studied history at the Lomonossow University in Moscow from 1979 to 1984 . In 1990 she received her doctorate at the University of Dresden with the thesis Main Lines of Development of International Regional Relations between the Dresden District (GDR) and the Wrocław and Jelenia Góra Voivodeships (VRP) from the late 1950s to 1981 .

From 1991 to 1993 Stykow worked as a research assistant at the Humboldt University in Berlin (HU). She then worked as a research assistant at the Max Planck Society in Berlin.

From 1997 to 2002 she worked as a research assistant at the HU Berlin. In 2003 the state and economy work in Russia took place there . Mediation of interests between corruption and concertation of her habilitation. Stykow has been teaching at the Geschwister-Scholl-Institut since 2004 as a professor with a focus on political systems in Eastern Europe.

Stykow has been a "State-certified translator for German and Russian" since 1993.
