Petra Welzel
Petra Welzel (* 1962 in Düsseldorf ) is a German screenwriter and writer .
Life
Petra Welzel studied sociology and worked as a social worker for a few years before she came to scriptwriting as a writing partner through her partner at the time, the German-Greek screenwriter Christos Yiannopoulos , with whom she has two children. They both wrote the television films The Babysitter - Screams from the Nursery , The Holy Whore and Swap Child for Career together . In addition to the crime scene episode The Second Man , they were also responsible for the conception of the ZDF television series Nesthocker - Family to be given away .
Welzel has also been a writer of historical novels since 2005. Her three historical novels Hildegards Lied: Hildegard von Bingen, the novel of her life (2005), Theophanu, by God's grace Empress (2006) and The Rags Princess (2009) were all published by Krüger Verlag.
