Petropavlivka ( Ukrainian Петропавлівка ; Russian Петропавловка Petropawlowka ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Kharkiv with about 2,400 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded as a farm in 1680, was given its current name in 1872. Petropawliwka is the administrative center of the same name, 133.74 km² District Municipality in Rajon Kupyansk to which even the villages Kutscheriwka ( Кучерівка , ⊙ ) with about 700 inhabitants and Synkiwka ( Синьківка , ⊙ include) with about 380 inhabitants.
The village is located at an altitude of 106 m on the bank of the Hnylyzja ( Гнилиця ), a 13 km long left tributary of the Oskol , 8 km east of the Kupyansk district center and about 125 km east of the Kharkiv oblast center .
The regional road P-07 runs through the village .
