Petrus Pachius , also Paschius (* 1579 in Kolberg ; † 1641 or 1642 in Stockholm ) was a German Protestant clergyman, teacher and poet.

Petrus Pachius was a son of David Pachius from Brandenburg, who died on May 21, 1600 in Kolberg. His mother Anna († 1617) was a daughter of Augustus Canobius.

Pachius probably studied at the University of Greifswald or at the University of Wittenberg . In 1606 he married a daughter of the Kolberg citizen Michael Schwantes, with whom he had six daughters. In 1614 he became vice principal of the large council school in Kolberg. He also administered the pastoral office at the Kolberger Heiliggeistkirche for three years.

In 1629 he and his family left Kolberg for unknown reasons and went to Stockholm . Here he became head of a private school, one of the schools that the teachers of the German public school fought against as "angle schools".

Pachius published Latin and German poems, which he assigned a work number (from 1 to 120) and edited from 1629 to 1643. He also published a German-language Christmas game in 1638 . This Christmas play was translated into Swedish by Ericus Kolmodinus , a 6th act was added and published in 1659 - without reference to the original German version by Pachius.
