The Domgymnasium zu Kolberg was a public higher educational institution in Kolberg in Western Pomerania , which existed there until the end of the Second World War. A secondary school was attached to the educational establishment.

history

The grammar school emerged from a Latin school founded around 1235, later also known as the Ratslyzeum or the Great Council School, which was renamed the Domgymnasium in the middle of the 19th century . The rules of the school were based on the school rules of the Gymnasium in Wittenberg.

As early as the 15th and 16th centuries, Kolberg was one of the towns from which most of the Greifswald University students came to Stettin .
