Petrus Pao-Zin Tou

Petrus Pao-Zin Tou ( Chinese  杜寶 晉 , Pinyin Dù Bǎojìn ; born March 19, 1911 in Zhao , Empire of China ; † May 5, 1986 in Hsinchu , Taiwan ) was a Chinese Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Hsinchu .

Life

Tou was ordained a priest on April 27, 1937. In 1961, the Holy See appointed him the first bishop of the newly established Hsinchu Diocese of Taiwan. He held this post until he retired in 1983. As a bishop, Tou attended all the sessions of the Second Vatican Council in Rome .
