Petrus Scriverius

Petrus Scriverius , Dutch Peter Schryver or Pieter Schrijver (* January 12, 1576 - April 30, 1660 ) was a Dutch philologist, historian and writer.

Scriverius studied from 1593 at the University of Leiden with Joseph Justus Scaliger , Bonaventura Vulcanius and Paulus Merula . He later lived as a private scholar in Leiden.

He was friends with Daniel Heinsius . He published his Nederduytsche poemata in 1616.
