The Pettus Glacier is a 14 km long glacier in the north of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . From the Ebony Wall on the Detroit Plateau it flows north to the Gavin Piedmont Glacier , which it reaches between Poynter Hill and the Tinsel Dome .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the glacier on February 12, 1964 after the Canadian pilot Robert Nelson Pettus (1921-2010), participant of the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition (1956-1957).
