Peyton Reed (born July 3, 1964 in Raleigh , North Carolina ) is an American film director .

Live and act

Reed made his debut as a director in 1989 with the short film Almost Beat , for which he also worked as a screenwriter . He then worked for television, directed several television films and shot episodes of series such as The Weird Al Show . In 1997 he directed the television film A mad beetle returns .

In 2000, Girls United was his first feature film. In 2003 he shot Down with Love - To hell with love! followed by Breakup with Barriers (2006) and The 2008 Yes Man, starring Jim Carrey . Since then he has mainly worked for television again.

On June 7, 2014, it was announced that Reed would direct the Marvel comic book adaptation Ant-Man . The film is designed as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe . The sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp , published in July 2018, was also directed by Reed.
