Rectory (Schönau an der Brend)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The “rectory” in Schönau, actually sacristan's house

The rectory in Schönau an der Brend , a municipality in the Lower Franconian district of Rhön-Grabfeld , was built in 1617 and rebuilt in the 19th century. It is not entirely clear why the house was called the “ rectory ”. Actually it is the sacristan's house, because Schönau never had its own pastor in its history . The house with the address Am Kirchberg 5 is a protected architectural monument .

The building is two-story with a gable roof. It has two (gable side) to three (eaves side) window axes . The windows are arched . There is a bay window on the south wall . The year 1617 is written on the eastern wall.
