Parish church Aurach near Kitzbühel
The Roman Catholic parish church Aurach bei Kitzbühel stands on the slope in Oberaurach in the Austrian municipality of Aurach bei Kitzbühel in Tyrol . The church consecrated to St. Rupert belongs to the deanery St. Johann in Tirol of the Archdiocese of Salzburg . The church and the cemetery are under monument protection .
history
The church was mentioned in a document in 1324. The current church building was consecrated in 1427. The church was renovated in 1830 and made a parish church in 1891.
architecture
The Gothic and Baroque church building has a north tower.
Furnishing
The baroque high altar was changed around 1830 and has a cafeteria and side offering portals in a marble encrustation. The altar with a wooden tabernacle structure and a recessed frame adikula with blown gable shows the altar sheet Glorie des St. Rupert (around 1770) and carries classicist statues Peter and Paul and adoring angels.
The painter Simon Benedikt Faistenberger (around 1750) created a canvas painting, a crucifix and the station paintings .
The organ case was built around 1830/1840, the organ was rebuilt by Reinisch-Pirchner (1964).
