Parish Church Bad Erlach
The Roman Catholic parish church Bad Erlach is located in Bad Erlach in the market town of Bad Erlach in the Wiener Neustadt-Land district in Lower Austria . The church consecrated to St. Anthony - incorporated into the Reichersberg monastery - belongs to the Lanzenkirchen dean's office in the vicariate Unter dem Wienerwald of the Archdiocese of Vienna . history
The local chapel from 1646 was demolished in 1924. An emergency church existed from 1929 to 1933 . The church was built in 1933 in a bend in the main road according to the plans of the architect Karl Holey . The church was initially a branch of Pitten and became a parish church in 1991.
architecture
The simple rectangular building under a hipped roof , oriented to the west, has a rounded tower in the northeast.
The simple church building with rectangular and lunette windows has roofed porches on pillars on the east facade and in the south-east corner. The high round tower under a flat conical roof has round and rectangular windows arranged in a rhythmic manner. On the south side, a chapel designed as a cone takes up the round shape of the tower.
The hall with a flat ceiling without a choir closes in the west with a straight wall.
Furnishing
A crucifix from the 17th century is placed above the altar table . On the altar wall are paintings, including the crucifix, with annunciation, birth, crucifixion with saints and angels, resurrection from the construction period.
In the south chapel there is a copy of the Erlach Madonna from 1320/1330, the original has been in the Vienna Cathedral Museum since 1935 . The statues of Saint Therese, Heart of Jesus, Joseph and a carved Stations of the Cross are from the construction period.
