Parish church Bad Sauerbrunn
The Roman Catholic parish church Bad Sauerbrunn is located in the municipality of Bad Sauerbrunn in the Mattersburg district in Burgenland . The parish church of the Assumption is part of the Mattersburg deanery in the Eisenstadt diocese .
history
Bad Sauerbrunn was elevated to a parish in 1960. The tent-shaped parish church was built from 1967 to 1970 according to the plans of the architect Josef Patzelt .
Furnishing
The oil painting Maria with Child in a rocaille frame is from the 2nd half of the 18th century.
Wayside crosses
On the way to Neudörfl there is a tabernacle pillar, meat chopper cross, also Sauterkreuz, with scrollwork cartouche with angel's head, with the inscription 1651 and handicrafts mark. On the way to Pöttsching there is a wooden cross, the Wurt Cross, mentioned in a document in the 15th century, which has been renewed again and again.
