Old parish church

The Gothic choir

The construction of the late Gothic church began at the end of the 15th century with the choir and around 1520 also had a nave and a southern chapel.

Since 1990 the old parish church has served as the church's mortuary.

architecture

The three-bay choir with a three-eighth end and a Gothic sacrament niche and the two- bay nave have a mesh rib vault with a centralization effort by the formation of six ribs in the middle of the main nave. A mighty triumphal arch connects the chancel and the nave. The Gothic three-axis west gallery is vaulted with mesh ribs. The west tower wears an onion helmet. The sacristy has a ribbed vault. The Gothic profiled south portal is richly barred with a door with Gothic fittings and has a vaulted vestibule.

Furnishing

The two-storey high altar with column architecture in the Baroque style was designed in 1802 by the Lambach sculptor Joachim Ertl.

Under Pastor Johann Weißengruber, a new church building was added to the north side from 1957 to 1963 according to plans by the architect Franz Zachhuber and consecrated on August 30, 1964.

The nave is rectangular in shape and is illuminated by means of light strips under the ceiling, among other things. The sanctuary is trapezoidal and raised in several steps. The chancel is exposed to light through the left sloping wall with a latticework made of concrete and glass.
