history

The previous church was built in 1742 with Johann Kleber, became a vicariate in 1744, and the church was consecrated in 1745. In 1891 its own parish was set up. After a fire in 1909, the church was rebuilt using the baroque walls. 1972 and 1979 were renovations.

architecture

The undivided, single-nave church building has a circumferential chamfered cornice. The retracted choir has rounded corners and a straight end. The rectory is structurally connected to the south of the choir.

Furnishing

The uniform columned high altar with sacrificial portals from 1909 shows the altar sheet St. Leonhard in der Glorie with a view of Forstau painted by Josef Gold (1910), later partially painted over by Leonhard Thoma (1918).

The organ was built by Johann Mertel (1910).
