history

The parish church of Haslach is considered to be one of the most important late Gothic church buildings in the Upper Mühlviertel, with the choir being the oldest component built around 1400, the nave was built around 1500. Inside finds a uniform, neo-Gothic interior.

In 1906, cathedral builder Matthäus Schlager raised the church tower to 63 meters. The former battlement was opened to a gallery. By inserting the four corner turrets and the high pyramid roof, it was given today's neo-Gothic shape.

The old ossuary is on the south side of the church. On the north side is a war memorial from 1928 by Adolf Wagner von der Mühl , the bronze plates behind, which commemorate the victims of the Second World War, were made by Max Stockenhuber in 1966.

The neo-Gothic furnishings, high altar and side altars were made by Josef Kepplinger in 1896, the folk altar and ambo were created by Jakob Kopp in 1981. The simple, Gothic tracery windows were glazed by Penner and Schürer in Linz in 1896.

The organ was built in 1973 by Bruno Riedl .
