The parish church Hofkirchen im Traunkreis is in the village of Hofkirchen im Traunkreis in the municipality of Hofkirchen im Traunkreis in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Nikolaus - incorporated into St. Florian Monastery - belongs to the Deanery Enns-Lorch in the Diocese of Linz . The church and the cemetery are under monument protection .

history

A church was mentioned in a document around 1272. A parish was mentioned in 1326. The late Gothic hall church was built between 1520 and 1524 with master Sigmund and then with master Stephan von Steyr until 1521.

architecture

The two-aisled, three-bay nave has an eight-part ribbed vault. The retracted one-yoke ribbed vaulted choir has a five-eighth end. The substructure of the original tower in the southern choir corner has been preserved. The noteworthy late Gothic south and north portals have vestibules. The mighty west tower was built from 1607 to 1609 and was given a tent roof in 1818.

Furnishing

The decor is neo-Gothic. The high altar bears statues from the 17th century and a mercy seat group in the manner of Johann Rint around 1860. The baptismal font is late Gothic. There is a bell from 1535.
