Parish Church of St. Peter and Paul in Oftering

The parish church of Oftering is located in the cadastral parish Freiling in the municipality of Oftering in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church Peter and Paul belongs to the deanery of Traun in the diocese of Linz . The church and the cemetery are under monument protection .

history

The Gothic church was built in the first half of the 15th century.

architecture

The two-aisled three-bay nave has octagonal columns and the retracted one-and-a-half bay choir with a five-eighth end has ribbed vaults on semicircular services. The west tower has a wedge roof.

Furnishing

The high altar from 1697 shows the altarpiece Crucifixion by the painter Carl von Reslfeld (1697). The statues Peter and Paul are from the middle of the 18th century. The rest of the church furnishings are neo-Gothic.
