The parish church of Salzburg-Gneis is located at Eduard-Macheiner-Straße No. 4 in the village of Gneis in the Morzg district in the municipality of Salzburg . history

The modern church with a parish center and kindergarten was built from 1964 to 1966 according to the plans of the architect Erich Gerlich and consecrated on October 22, 1967 by Archbishop Andreas Rohracher .

architecture

The church as a simple rectangular concrete skeleton structure under a gable roof has a bell tower attached to the side.

The baptistery and confessional chapel have concrete glass windows, created by Erwin Dattendorfer (1966/1967).

Furnishing

Altar, ambo, baptismal font and the sediles were designed by Erich Gerlich. Pier Eckhoff (1981) created the Way of the Cross with bronze reliefs.

The crucifix above the altar was probably made in the 17th century.
