The Roman Catholic parish church Sankt Andrä am Zicksee is in the market town of Sankt Andrä am Zicksee in the Neusiedl am See district in Burgenland . The parish church of St. Andreas belongs to the dean's office in Frauenkirchen in the Eisenstadt diocese . The church is a listed building .

history

There was a pre-Reformation parish which was rebuilt in 1703. On the site of a church built in 1724, a new building was built in 1937 according to the plans of the architect Stieböck.

Architecture and equipment

The ceiling paintings in Secco design are the work of the academic painter Hans Alexander Brunner from 1958. The two large ceiling fields have the themes "Calling the Apostles" and "Sending the Apostles". The wall paintings were created by the painter Hans Fischer.

The two-winged high altar from 1937 is the work of the sculptor Wilhelm Bormann .
