Hans Alexander Brunner
Hans Alexander Brunner (born November 7, 1895 in Vienna ; † November 24, 1968 there ) was an Austrian academic painter .
Life
Brunner was born the son of a fiaker and studied landscape , portrait and history painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna . From 1912 to 1916 he was a student of Rudolf Jettmar , from 1916 to 1918 of Kasimir Pochwalski and from 1918 to 1920 he attended the master school with Josef Jungwirth .
After completing his studies, he initially worked as a vocational school teacher in order to devote himself to painting with religious themes after 1945.
Brunner died on November 24, 1968 in Lainz Hospital .

- 1955: High altar picture in the Siebenhirten parish church in Vienna
- 1958: Ceiling painting in Secco design in the parish church of Sankt Andrä am Zicksee
- 1962: High altar painting The risen Christ appears to the apostles at the Sea of Galilee in the Hernals parish church
- 1962: Two frescoes with scenes from the Old and New Testament in the choir of the Anton Church in Vienna
