Strasshof parish church on the north railway
The Roman Catholic parish church Strasshof an der Nordbahn is in the center of Strasshof in the district of Gänserndorf in Lower Austria . It is consecrated to St. Anthony and belongs to the Deanery Gänserndorf in the Vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Archdiocese of Vienna . The building is a listed building .
history
The church was built by August Kirstein between 1923 and 1925 and made a parish church in 1939. In 1988 the chancel of the church was redesigned. The interior was renovated in 2018.
Church building

The church is a low, simple building with a high, campanile-like steeple in the north of the church. The bell floor was deliberately accentuated. There are columns between the coupled arched windows.

The nave has a flat wooden ceiling. The choir is slightly narrower than the nave.
Furnishing
The equipment comes from the construction period. The high altar is kept simple. The tabernacle is flanked by adoring angels. Above it is a stained glass window with an image of Saint Anthony from 1926.
