The Roman Catholic parish church of Tadten is located in the municipality of Tadten in the Neusiedl am See district in Burgenland . The parish church of St. Michael belongs to the dean's office Frauenkirchen in the diocese of Eisenstadt . The church is a listed building .

history

The medieval parish temporarily had the patronage of Cosmas and Damian . The parish was temporarily Protestant in the 17th century. The classical church building from 1804 was modernized in 1954 with architect Franz Peck.

architecture

The tower facade with a tower with an eight-sided pyramid helmet and a gable is structured with pilaster strips. The south portal shows the year 1804–1934 in the lintel. The two-bay nave (1804) was extended over a rectangular floor plan with an apse with rounded corners (1954).

The two-bay nave has square vaults between double belts on wide pilasters. The tower yoke has a set gallery, which is richly structured with a protruding curved parapet over three arches. The modern extension has a flat coffered ceiling.

Furnishing

The baptismal font with a humped bowl on a rotated foot shows the year 1832.
