Church building

Exterior

The church is a simple building with a west tower and a semicircular choir . The tower with a square floor plan is slightly stocky and has a pointed stone helmet . The buttresses on the nave and apse date from the Baroque . They were restored in 1974.

Interior

A shorter gallery yoke connects to the three-bay nave. The walls with baroque structure: pilasters and a profiled main cornice from the 18th century support the flat ceiling, which also extends over the apse. It was drafted in the 19th century. The west gallery was built without supports.

Furnishing

Two wooden figures of Saints Peter and Paul in a more recent version have been preserved from the former, baroque high altar. You are in the cafeteria . The baroque altarpiece shows the scene of the Assumption and dates from the middle of the 18th century. It hangs on the apse wall. The carved figures from the altarpiece, God the Father and Jesus, are on the apse wall. On the ceiling of the apse is a dove in a golden halo.

At the neo-Romanesque side altar there are two newer Baroque figures. They show St. Sebastian and St. Rochus . Like the picture of Mary above, they come from the 18th century. On the left choir pilaster there is a remarkable Madonna and Child from the first quarter of the 18th century. On the right choir pilaster there is a statue of St. Joseph from the second half of the 18th century. The 14 Stations of the Cross are oil paintings in the Nazarene style and date from the third quarter of the 19th century. The font is from the 18th century.

The bell is marked with Andreas Haller , Szombathely 1823.
