history

The late Gothic hall church was built with Stephan Wultinger towards the end of the 15th century. The tower was built between 1672 and 1677 with Adam Wieser from Braunau. The sacristy is from 1669.

architecture

On the three-aisled, four-bay nave with beveled corners in the east there is a close-meshed star and ribbed vault. The eastern nave pillars are in the axis of the windows. The retracted two-bay, ribbed, vaulted choir has a three-eighths closure. There is a late Gothic red marble sacristy house with a wrought iron lattice around 1500. The slightly broken two-bay, three-axis western gallery on a ribbed vault has a tracery parapet. The tower in the southern choir corner has an octagonal bell house and a baroque dome. The richly braced south and north portals have vestibules, the northern vestibule is designed as a chapel and closed to the outside. There is also a late Gothic sacristy door and a late Gothic door under the west gallery.

Furnishing

The main altar

Thomas Schwanthaler from Ried created the splendid high altar as a splendid piece of cartilage style in 1668 . The tabernacle with a crucifixion group was created around 1700. The late Gothic Mother of God and two female saints in the central shrine were created towards the end of the 15th century. The side altars from 1666 were made with the carpenter Peter Widmann and have carvings by Veit Adam Vogl from Ried. The canteen on the left side altar is late Gothic with 1497. The side altars were restored in 1894/1895. The pulpit is from 1670, the bell-top coronation Maria Immaculata is probably by Thomas Schwanthaler. There are four painted reliefs with scenes from the life of Mary from a late Gothic winged altar from the end of the 15th century.

There is a bell from around 1450.
