Long-term care guidelines

In the social long-term care insurance system, long-term care guidelines or care appraisal guidelines govern the procedure for determining the need for care by the long-term care insurance funds and the medical service of the health insurance company . They were determined jointly by the central associations of the health insurance companies.

The long-term care guidelines were replaced by the assessment guidelines of April 15, 2016 as part of the reform of the social long-term care insurance .
