Phan Khắc Sửu

Phan Khắc Sửu (* 1893 ; † 1970 ) was a South Vietnamese politician who was president from 1964 to 1965 .

biography

Agricultural engineer and member of the Cao Đài Church, he belonged to the cabinet of Emperor Bảo Đại . Under President Ngô Đình Diệm , he was briefly a political prisoner .

From 1964 to 1965 he was President of the Republic of Vietnam.

Note: The family name of this Vietnamese name is Phan , in Western texts the spelling is often simplified Phan . According to Vietnamese custom, the person should be referred to by their first name Suu - even in formal situations .
