The Phenix Horns were a brass ensemble from Chicago that became famous in the 1970s as part of the band Earth, Wind and Fire . The members were Don Myrick ( saxophone ), Louis "Lui Lui" Satterfield ( trombone ), Rahmlee Michael Davis ( trumpet ) and Michael Harris (trumpet).

The ensemble was first known as part of Earth, Wind and Fire. Soon, however, numerous other musicians took advantage of their services, including Genesis on No Reply At All from the album Abacab and Paperlate from the album Three Sides Live and Phil Collins on Sussudio on his solo album No Jacket Required . The group's sound was characterized by sharp staccato runs.

The ensemble broke up after the death of Don Myrick, who was shot and killed in a drug raid in 1993. The other members have since worked solo as jazz and studio musicians. Louis Satterfield died in 2004.
