description

Phesdo House is isolated around three kilometers northeast of Fettercairn. The two-story building has a U-shaped floor plan. Dark granite blocks form an exposed brickwork . The villa is designed in the classical style of the Greek Revival . Its main facade, which is exposed to the south-east, is five axes wide. A portico with four Doric columns protrudes from one axis wide central projectile . Simple cornices on consoles crown the windows on the ground floor, while the windows on the upper floor are designed with architraves . The facade closes with a cornice with raised parapets. The three-axis-wide side facades are designed in the same way as the main facade. Only on the north-east facade is the central window on the ground floor embedded in a segmented niche. Both openings on this axis are closed with masonry. The building closes with a platform roof .
