Phil Tippett

Phil Tippett (* 1951 in Illinois , USA ) is an American specialist for visual effects in the film industry, who is best known for his work in Star Wars films. He also works as a producer and director.

Tippett was instrumental in the development of stop-motion and go-motion technology in feature films in the early 1980s . Go-motion was first used in the films The Dragon Slayer and Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back .
