Phil Zajicek

Phil Zajicek (born March 20, 1979 in Eugene ) is an American cyclist .

Phil Zajicek began his career in 2001 with the Mercury-Viatel cycling team . In 2003 he switched to the Saturn Cycling Team , from 2004 rode for the American professional Continental Team Navigators Insurance and from 2009 for Fly V Australia . He celebrated his greatest success in 2004 when he won the overall ranking of the Tour of Qinghai Lake . In 2005 he finished fourth in the Tour of Britain and finished fourth in the Herald Sun Tour 2006 .

Because of a positive doping test, Zajicek was warned in 2004 and given a small fine. On June 10, 2011, Zajicek was banned for life for several doping offenses.
