Philharmonic Wind Quintet Berlin
The Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet is a woodwind quintet of the Berlin Philharmonic . It was founded in 1988 and played with an unchanged line-up until 2009.

Henning Trog was the ensemble's bassoonist until 2009.
History and work
In the history of the chamber music associations of the Berliner Philharmoniker , it is the first wind quintet to work together continuously . The ensemble's activities include concert engagements in Germany as well as tours in Europe and overseas.
The Philharmonic Wind Quintet is a guest at the Berliner Festwochen, the Quintet Biennale in Marseilles, the Rheingau Festival and the Salzburg Festival . In addition to the spectrum of quintet literature from classical to avant-garde, the ensemble's repertoire also includes works with an extended cast, for example the sextets by Janáček and Reinecke or the septets by Hindemith and Koechlin .
In addition, the collaboration with the pianists Stephen Hough, Jon Nakamatsu , Lilya Zilberstein and Lars Vogt has taken up further space in recent years. Its radio and television broadcasts are broadcast internationally and there are numerous CD recordings for the Swedish label BIS.
