Philipp Jaeger (born June 1, 1994 in Gummersbach ) is a German handball player who plays for the German third division club SG Leutershausen .

Career

Philipp Jaeger has been with VfL Gummersbach since he was a child . With the VfL A youth team , he was German runner- up in 2012 . Since the 2013/14 season , the 1.89-meter-tall handball player was part of the left wing of the Gummersbach Bundesliga team . In 2015 he moved to Switzerland to HC GS Stäfa , where he was increasingly deployed in his preferred position in the back center position . From there he returned to Germany in the summer of 2016 and joined the second division HC Empor Rostock as a middle man . A year later he moved to the French second division team Cavigal Nice. In January 2018 he joined the German third division club SG Leutershausen.

Jaeger was part of the German national youth team, with which he won the bronze medal at the U-19 World Cup in Hungary in 2013 .

His father Gunnar Jaeger became German champions in 1991 with VfL Gummersbach .
