Philipp Jost

Philipp Jost (born September 14, 1818 in Darmstadt , † November 15, 1885 in Allertshofen ) was a Hessian economist and politician ( progress ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Philipp Jost was the son of the senior physician Heinrich J. Jost and his wife Margaretha, nee Gerhard. Jost, who was a Protestant, was an economist in Allertshofen and married Barbara nee Möllinger on December 11, 1842 in Pfeddersheim.

From 1872 to 1878 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 6 / Reinheim .
