Karl Doerr (judge)

Karl Christian Amand Dörr (Doerr) (born January 15, 1809 in Braunfels , † October 6, 1868 in Gießen ) was a German judge and sat in the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Life

Karl Dörr was the son of the government secretary and in 1815 legation councilor of the Hessen-Darmstadt legation to the Federal Assembly Friedrich Karl Doerr and his wife Franziska geb. Stump . The writer and lawyer Adolph Doerr (1816–1868) with the pseudonym "Adolf Greifenberg" was his brother, the important garden designer Friedrich Ludwig Sckell his great-uncle. Dörr, who was a Protestant, married Auguste (1817-1891), daughter of Karl Koeniger, rent official in Darmstadt, in Zwingenberg (Bergstrasse) in 1841 .

He studied law at the Hessian Ludwig University . In 1828 he became active in the Corps Starkenburgia . and was a court clerk at court. In 1840 he became assessor with vote at the Lichtenberg district court . In 1851 he changed to the regional court in Zwingenberg in the same position . In 1853 he became district judge at the Michelstadt district court and in 1860 court judge at the Giessen court .

From 1856 to 1862 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 6 / Reinheim . He died at the age of 59.
