Carl Volhard

Carl Georg Ferdinand Volhard (born November 26, 1802 in Darmstadt ; † May 5, 1887 ibid) was a Hessian lawyer and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Carl Volhard, who was a Protestant denomination, studied law at the University of Giessen from 1820 . In 1825 he became an advocate and procurator at the court court in Giessen and in 1848 a chamber attorney for the Starkenburg province with the title of judiciary. In 1850 he was released. From 1880 to 1886 he was a lawyer at the regional court and the higher regional court in Darmstadt .

In 1848 he was a member of the preliminary parliament . From 1848 to 1849, 1849 to 1856 and again from 1862 to 1872 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 9 / Erbach , then for the constituency Starkenburg 8 / Beerfelden and finally for the constituency Starkenburg 6 / Reinheim.
