Johann Jakob Kredel

Johann Jakob Kredel (born November 1, 1835 in Michelstadt ; † September 5, 1890 ibid) was a Hessian master baker, politician ( NLP ) and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Johann Jakob Kredel was the son of the master baker Johann Peter Kredel and his wife Dorothea, née Spiegel. Kredel, who was of Protestant faith, was a master baker in Michelstadt and married Anne Marie née Glenz (1840–1874) there on November 14, 1861.

From 1884 until his death in 1890 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 2 / Michelstadt . He was also mayor of Michelstadt. Johann-Kredel-Strasse in Michelstadt is named after him.
