Georg Breidert

Johann Georg Breidert (born March 27, 1807 in Darmstadt ; † August 11, 1876 ibid) was a Hessian civil servant, judge and conservative politician and former member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

family

Georg Breidert was the son of master joiner Adam Breidert and his wife Dorothee nee Grandhomme. Georg Breidert, who was a Protestant denomination, married Caroline born Schleiermacher on December 19, 1835 in Darmstadt.

education and profession

Georg Breidert studied law in Gießen from 1826 and graduated with a doctorate. During his studies, he became a member of the Corps Vandalia I .

In 1834 he was court attorney, in 1856 senior building officer at the senior building management, in 1858 councilor at the Chamber of Accounts. In 1871 he was appointed a secret senior building officer and in 1875 a member of the administrative court.

Until his death, Breidert was employed on an interim basis as general director of the Grand Ducal Court Theater in Darmstadt. Friedrich Haase was to succeed him, as can be seen from his correspondence with Ferdinand von Strantz.

politics

In the 15th and 16th as well as the 19th and 20th electoral periods (1856–1862 and 1866–1872) Georg Breidert was a member of the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. In the estates he initially represented the constituency of Starkenburg 9 / Fürth and from 1866 the constituency of Starkenburg 8 / Erbach. He took conservative positions.
