Philipp Jung (gynecologist)
Philipp Jung (born April 22, 1870 in Frankfurt am Main , † June 28, 1918 in Göttingen ) was a German gynecologist and university professor.
Life
Jung studied medicine at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität and became a member of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg in 1889 .
As the successor to Carl Quantity , he headed the Erlangen University Women's Clinic. From 1910 to 1918 he was full professor and director of the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . The establishment of the X-ray therapy department is due to him. Karl Reifferscheid followed him . Jung was a secret medical advisor .
