Philipp Keller (politician)

Philipp Keller (born September 4, 1858 in Spiesheim , † December 21, 1908 in Stein-Bockenheim ) was a farmer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Keller attended the elementary school in Spiesheim from 1864 to 1871 and the secondary school in Alzey from 1871 to 1876 . In 1877 he took over his father's estate and moved to Stein-Bockenheim when he married in 1881. From 1876 to 1877 he served as a one-year volunteer in the Leibgarde Infantry Regiment (1st Grand Ducal Hessian) No. 115 in Darmstadt . He was also Rendant of the local savings and loan fund since 1896, member of the provincial committee of the agricultural association for the province of Rheinhessen and member of the Chamber of Agriculture for Hesse.

From 1907 until his death he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Grand Duchy of Hesse 8 Bingen , Alzey and the Federation of Farmers .
