Philippe Decae
Philippe Decae (also Philippe DeCaë , * 1923 in Brussels ; † January 15, 2012 ) was a Belgian jazz pianist .
Philippe Decae worked from the late 1940s with Roger Rose, Bill Alexandre , with whom he made the first recordings, and also with Vic Bayens , Vicky Down and Robert De Kers . For several years he was a member of the RTBF Big Band under the direction of Henri Segers and the BRT Orchestra, which Francis Bay directed. He also played with Herman Sandy , Freddy Sunder , Janot Morales , Alex Scorier and Johnny Dover . In the field of jazz he was involved in 22 recording sessions between 1946 and 1985. a. with Fats Sadi , Cecily Forde , Fud Candrix . He also worked as a composer of jazz and pop titles ("Guaracha Espagnole") and later as a film composer.
