Philippe Eidel

Philippe Eidel (born December 22, 1956 in Antananarivo ; † September 6, 2018 ) was a French music producer , director and composer .

biography

Eidel began his career working with the renowned group Indochine before turning to world music, for which he was passionate.

In the 90s, in the middle of the Raï wave, he met Cheb Khaled , for whom he produced and arranged the album N'ssi N'ssi with the song Abdelkader , but also the album Sahra , which he also co-wrote, produced and arranged. Collaborations with Raï artists such as Reda Taliani, Faudel and Cheb Kader followed.
